Elements of the River Thames , its estuaries, tributaries have been filmed in conjunction with the fixtures of the built environment, (locks, bridges, etc) the film being looped into a repetitive and rhythmic motion, and interjected into internal spaces with specific architectural features.

The siting and juxtaposition of this element into an opposing, unknown and unfamiliar spatial environment gives this projected fluid mass an obsessive intensity in relationship to our conceptions of gravity, placement and also our fears.

The example shown here is projected and manipulated into a specific part of the room that appears to trap and encapsulate the water, but also reacts with the skylight, and specific architectural features give the projection its structure. Sound is an integral part of this installation.
