Liz Harrison's paintings and sculptures explore a bleak delicate world. An expansive wall stands near a tea-coloured pool and a wilting tree. In fragile emotional states, on an ordinary walk, these would be the things you notice. Side glanced objects - a puddle on a track, a side alley become estrangements and blockages that set and reflect your mood with their muted palette and attentive detail. Their glossiness resists the eye, while their surfaces: grit, pittings and congealed liquid get under your skin. The imagined location is vague - it might be among farm buildings, a city street or a suburban playing field
