The perspexwork 'Machian Blue Cicle' comprises four layers of perspex including an array of blue sky discs in the form of a cross. Behind this is an array of shadow disks as if the whole array has been rotated 30 degrees yet left its presence. The piece is made in two halves as if a fault line runs through the visual field - an optical geology.

A 'Machian' array is the result of inertial communication with distant bodies in the universe. The often quoted example is that, "...when the subways stops suddenly, it is the distant stars which throw you down."
