A four layer rectilinear perspex sandwich with layer 3 being grey transparent tinted. There are evaporation rings of spirit dye arranged in a quasi-Cartesian array on layer 3. On layer 2, an arrangement of lead splashes assumes an oblique geometrical configuration.

This unit recalls the retinal impact of an array of light photons, their after-image and simple shadows in the memory. The whole experience is revisited as a machined artifact.

Note : In these images the solder splashes appear dark - they are in fact very shiny.
This is due to the need to reduce reflections in the perspex during photography.
