My art practice is engaged with site-specific inquiry, and involves investigations using a variety of different media. Site, process, time, and interaction are all continuing research interests within my work.

The stacked earth shelf 'British Greys' (above) shows the variety of grey earths collected between 1994 and 2006, from beaches on the south coast of England. Where and when the earths have been collected is always recorded and photographed. These stacked earth shelves are evidence of over twelve years inquiry into earth as colour, which was investigated in the Earthworks series (see above).

'Curating Frequencies 05-09-06' (right) involved visualising in negative the incidental sounds recorded during the curation of a drawing exhibition at the APT Gallery, in September 2006. The recorded sounds were loaded into a sound emission analysing computer program, which allowed the sounds to be visualised as a graphic showing frequency in relation to time. Two curators' voices are visualised as sound frequencies, as well as various impact noises and a van starting up and driving away. This work was exhibited in Perspex jars two days after the recording process, in the drawing exhibition 'Threads'.

'Interactions, Greenwich Peninsula, London 28-08-07' was filmed microscopically with the assistance of the Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park. The estuarine and freshwater invertebrates are filmed interacting with each other within separate confined environments - these films were exhibited alongside each other at Objects-Rooms, Galleria Ground's Art, Parma, Italy. The site-specific sound track included evening flights taking off from London City Airport, passing cyclists, occasional traffic, Thames waves breaking on the mud, and the sound of machinery from Prior's gravel works.
